Western Highlands

The Western Highlands are among the most spectacular mountains of Kenya. Situated in the northern Rift Valley, these hill ranges are known for some of the most stunning scenery and amazing variety of wildlife and birds in all of Africa. Home to breathtakingly beautiful waterfalls, these highlands provide stunning views from the escarpments across the paradise like valleys, lakes and lush plains below. The scenic vistas around the Elgeyo escarpement are truly unforgettable, especially from the 'World's End' viewpoint at Nyaru. The high Tugen Hills also offer excellent views across rift valley floor to picturesque Lake Baringo. The Western Highlands attract thousands of nature lovers and adventure seekers from across the globe.

In fact, the highlands are perhaps the finest destination on earth for high altitude athletic training, and its training camps around Iten and Kaptagat are frequented by large number of international athletes. The spectacular hills in Western Highlands are also home to a wide variety of birds and wildlife and are truly a nature lover's paradise.

Apart from their unmatched natural beauty and tranquil surroundings, there are plenty of other attractions that draw visitors to the Western Highlands in Kenya. Among must visit attractions here include the spectacular Mt.
