The Arawale National Park was set up with the primary motive
of protecting a rare antelope species known as the Hirola
or the Hunter's hartebeest unique to this region.
Location
The Arawale national reserve is located in the North-Eastern
Province, in Garissa district, five km from the left bank
of the Tana river. Visiting the Arawale National Park requires
a four-wheel drive.

Wild Life Attractions
The rare antelope Hirola is the crowd puller, followed by
elephants, giraffes, Grevy's zebras, lesser kudu, buffaloes
and crocodiles.
